Managing your data at WenWe
At WenWe (Out of View Limited), we take your privacy and the secure handling of your data seriously. If you decide to leave, we want the process to be clear and straightforward.
How to delete your account
The quickest way is directly in the app. Open WenWe, go to your Profile screen, and tap Delete account. This works on both iOS and Android.
Prefer to email us?
You can also request deletion by emailing our support team with the following:
- Send an email to team@wenwe.co with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
- Include the email address associated with your WenWe account in the body of the message.
- Tell us whether you want your entire account deleted, or only specific data — and if so, which.
Once we receive your request, we’ll confirm your identity and guide you through the process so your account and personal data are removed securely.
What happens to your data
Your account and your own WenWes: Your profile and personal account details are deleted. Any WenWes you created — completed or active — are removed, along with the clips and messages you added to them.
Content you added to other people’s WenWes: Clips and messages you contributed to another user’s completed WenWe remain, so the shared event stays intact for everyone else. Your name will still be shown on those messages and in the contributor list for that WenWe.
Your connections: You’re removed from other users’ friends, participants, and group lists, and any pending friend or contributor requests are cleared.
How long it takes
Please allow up to 30 days for your account and associated data to be fully deleted. This gives us time to remove your data thoroughly across our systems and backups. We’ll confirm once the deletion is complete.
